LXD75 AR5-AT Achromatic Refractor

Meade’s new LXD75™ Series are high-quality equatorially mounted telescopes with AutoStar® GO TO computerized operation. The air-spaced, precision-polished 5" and 6" achromatic refractor optics produce high resolution and incredible contrast for lunar, planetary and deep-sky observations. New heavy-duty tripod and equatorial mount are ideal for high performance observing or astrophotography. These telescopes set new standards in their price class for optics, sturdiness, precision operation and smoothness of movement. The best performers in their class, the LXD75 AR represents perhaps the finest value in a refractor today.

-Premium Meade® LXD75 crown and flint, air-spaced achromatic objective lenses, diffraction-limited optics.
-Diffraction-limited, high-contrast images with virtually no color fringing.
-Improved heavy-duty objective lens cell and metal dew shield.
-Virtually backlash free equatorial mount incorporating heavy-duty castings and two high-precision stainless steel ball bearings in both RA and Dec axes.
-Smart Drive™ Permanent Periodic Error Correction (PPEC) corrects periodic errors on the RA axis minimizing guiding corrections during long-exposure astrophotography.
-New 3-star alignment for enhanced pointing accuracy.
-8x50 viewfinder and standard precision all-metal 1.25"/2" O.D. rack & pinion focuser.
-AutoStar Suite™/LPI™ included as standard equipment on AT models. Lets even the novice stargazer capture and process stunning images of the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter…and more.
